Lars is a freelance photographer, based in Seattle, Washington, who specializes in portraiture, travel, and landscape photography. His journey with photography began when his mother and father bought him his first camera (Minolta 440TX) at age 8. From that young age until now, he has never stopped taking photos and has had an ongoing affinity with the digital visual arts.
An overwhelming desire to travel and capture various cultures in his images was cultivated at a young age. His relentless pursuit to discover and document peoples and places brought him to over 60 countries all over the world. This list of countries is rapidly growing. His goal is to create images with impact that tell a story and evokes emotion in the viewer.
In His Own Words
I celebrate the splendor and variety of the natural and human heritage with my photography. For much of my life I have been privileged to travel, trek, and explore some of the most unique corners of the world. I could give you this long and giant bio and artist statement...but no one really cares! Instead, I'd just like to tell you I love to take photos and have been doing so for nearly 25 years it is a great job and an amazing journey. I am totally inspired by the natural world around me. If one of my photographs captures your eye and compels you to stare at it a while and either takes you away to a different place or makes you feel good inside, I've achieved my goal as a photographer.
